BOISE, Idaho — Celebration Acres, which features 25 affordable housing units, celebrated a milestone by hosting an open house on Thursday in Boise.
El-Ada Community Action Partnership announced the open house and ribbon cutting for Celebration Acres, which has 28 total units and took 13 years to finalize.
Of the 28 units, 25 are affordable housing units, helping to make affordable living a reality for many in the community, according to a news release. Three additional units are offered at market rate, helping to build a diverse and inclusive housing model.
Two of the units are designated for households transitioning from homelessness through CATCH, providing a stable environment for reintegration.
At the open house, there were a variety of speakers, including El-Ada Executive Director Katrina Vincent, El-Ada Deputy Director Kayla Hall, El-Ada Board President Mike Sanders and Syringa Property Management.
The ribbon cutting was led by the Boise Chamber of Commerce, and featured guests such as Boise City Councilmembers, and mayors from Ada, Elmore, and Owyhee counties.
The release said the event was not just about the grand opening, but a moment to express gratitude for the collaborative efforts that have brought this project to fruition.
