MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — Idaho Power celebrated "#WildlifeWednesday" in style this week, by stocking 50,000 rainbow trout into C.J. Strike Reservoir.
The rainbow trout are Idaho grown and 10-12 inches, perfect for a frying pan, a spokesperson for Idaho Power added.
In a Facebook post from Idaho Power, they announced the stocking of the fish. This is part of their twice-annual fish stocking, which is one way Idaho Power works to create recreational opportunities along the Snake River.
The fish stocking started Monday, with Idaho Power adding fish to both the Cottonwood and Jack's Creek boat launch sites.
