NAMPA, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is closing Franklin Road between Star and McDermott Roads on Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22. The closure is to install overhead sign structures for the expansion of State Highway 16.
The closure starts on Monday at 7 a.m. and ends on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
"Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time and use an alternate route, as traffic will be detoured to Cherry Lane. Access to businesses and residences in the area will remain open throughout the closure," the department stated.
As KTVB previously reported, the expansion will extend State Highway 16 from State Street to I-84.
