Construction on new Snake River Bridge in Marsing now underway

The new bridge is expected to be completed by the summer of 2020.

The Snake River Bridge near Marsing is being replaced. Construction will take about a year and a half.

MARSING, Idaho — If your daily commute includes driving into the town of Marsing, starting Tuesday you should expect some traffic delays.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, construction crews will be working to rebuild the Snake River Bridge, that's just before Marsing.

The new bridge is expected to be completed by the summer of 2020.

Also, for the next month, crews will be repaving Highway 55 from the Snake River to the Highway 95 junction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during the day.
