MCCALL, Idaho — The McCall Winter Carnival is here. The carnival is from Friday, Feb. 23 to Sunday the 25. The theme this year is "Color Outside the Lines" and is meant to honor the area's educators.
"We're inviting educators from Cascade to Council – and everywhere in between – to serve as the Grand Marshals of the signature Mardi Gras Parade," said McCall Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Julie Whitescarver. "Our local schools have been a source of consistency and inspiration for many years and we want to celebrate the role they play in building future leaders and innovators as our community undergoes unprecedented growth and change."
During the McCall Winter Carnival, approximately 60,000 people visit the tourist town. 2024 is the first year in several decades that McCall's Winter Carnival will take place over three consecutive days, but carnival-goers can still look forward to all their usual favorite winter carnival traditions.

This year's grand prize is a Polaris 450 Sportsman ATV. Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance of the event at the Chamber of Commerce office at 605 N 3rd St. in McCall.
