BOISE, Idaho — A semi-truck driver is hospitalized after crash on Interstate 84 in Boise Tuesday morning.
The crash caused lane closures on both sides of the freeway for hours while crews investigated, according to Idaho State Police (ISP).
ISP says the semi-truck driver, a 46-year-old man from Indiana, was heading east on the freeway when he hit the center barrier, causing his truck to flip. The trailer attached to his truck ended up on one side of the freeway while his truck blocked the other.
The crash occurred just before 3 a.m.
The eastbound lanes were closed for four hours while the westbound lanes were blocked even longer.
The driver was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. ISP says he was wearing his seat belt.
ISP is still investigating the crash.
