Man drives into Boise daycare facility, damages building

The driver of the car suffered a medical emergency and drove through a fence and into the building, said BPD. They suffered minor injuries, and nobody else was hurt.

BOISE, Idaho — Just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, a car collided with Little Luke's childcare on Washington Street in Boise. 

Boise Police Department (BPD) responded to the crash in the area of the St. Luke's Boise Medical Center. The driver of the car had suffered a medical emergency and drove the car through a fence and into the building, said BPD.

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported from those inside the building. 

A St. Luke's spokesperson said the building suffered significant damage and will be closed Friday, July 12, and Monday, July 15, while crews assess repairs.
