BOISE -- Student-athletes in Boise high schools and at Boise State University will share a new park.
The dedication of Dona Larsen Park was held this morning off Broadway Avenue and Warm Springs Avenue.
Boise State President Bob Kustra, Athletic Director Mark Coyle, and Boise Mayor Dave Bieter were among those at the dedication.
The park is the new home of Boise State's track and field teams, and softball programs.
It also includes an artificial-turf football field for high school football games.
The park is at the former home of East Junior High School, and it's named for Dona Larsen, who was a teacher and coach at the school for 30 years.
The David and Debra Larsen Huber Family Foundation made a $2.5 million gift in October of 2009 to help make the park possible.
