DONNELLY, Idaho — Idaho's Tamarack Resort construction project has finally resumed in Valley County.
Ten years after it was halted in the final phase because of bankruptcy, a new ownership group has hit the re-start button.
The ghost town village in the Donnelly ski resort has sat untouched and idle since February of 2008. But, now, contractors are back on the job to finish a vision that was first conceived in the early 80's.

Skiing industry veteran Jon Reveal heads up the newly formed Tamarack Resort Holdings and told Mark Johnson on a taping of "Viewpoint" that the plan is to have the main village buildings up and running by next winter's skiing season.
That's something he is being told by construction experts is doable because of the existing fixtures, cabinetry and accessories that remain intact 10 years later.
"A lot of the stuff that was purchased and the general contractor said they were within three weeks from taping and texturing and painting on the very top floor of the Rosemary Building, one of the three that we are going to finish off this summer. And you walk around and look at it and go, 'My gosh!'" Reveal said.
TV’s, shelving, plumbing, hardware and more are still in factory condition and in the original boxes inside the unfinished condo complexes.
Reveal said the resort will be open for summer activities even during the construction process for mountain biking, hiking and zip lining.
You can see the entire interview and Reveal's vision for next year - and beyond - at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 7, on "Viewpoint" on KTVB.
