EAGLE, Idaho — Three men were booked into Ada County Jail Tuesday on felony criminal conspiracy charges for attempting to create fake accounts at two different banks, according to Eagle Police Department.

Police said Heli G. Tronconis-Atencio, 22, Cesar A. Cano-Muskus, 24, and Dioban J. Pineda-Urdaneta, 19, were attempting to commit bank fraud when they were arrested Tuesday, Nov. 7. Investigators discovered stolen credit cards, fake money orders, blank checks and other evidence of intended fraudulent crimes in the suspect's vehicle. The vehicle was later found to have false license plates.

The men are all from Venezuela and reside in Florida and Utah. They are each being held in Ada County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Pineda-Urdanta is being held on an additional arrest warrant, issued from Florida.

Eagle Police Department said they received a call from a bank on Riverside Drive -- stating that two men with Venezuelan passports were trying to set up new accounts, while another tried take out $10,000 from different account.

When police arrived at the bank, the suspects had left the scene. However, bank employees were able to identify the vehicle - a blue Kia Forte - enabling responding officers to locate the vehicle as it was pulling into a second bank, located on Eagle Road.

Police said that as Tronconis-Atencio and Cano-Muskus went inside the bank to attempt to open new accounts, the third suspect, Pineda-Urdaneta, attempted to flee in the vehicle.

Officers were able to hinder the suspect from leaving. As they ran the temporary license plates of the Kia, police discovered the vehicle possessed false plates that were registered to a Hyundai. During the investigation, officers became aware of a felony arrest warrant, issued in Florida, for Pineda-Urdaneta.

The police then obtained a search warrant for the Kia, where they found stolen credit cards, fake money orders and blank checks, according to Eagle police.

All three men were arrested and booked into Ada County Jail.
