Eagle Rodeo kicks off night 2 at Eagle grounds

Due to limited space, the rodeo had to cap the number of tickets at 4,500 per night, which is less than in past years.

BOISE, Idaho — The Eagle Rodeo kicked off at Eagle Rodeo Grounds on West Equest Lane for the second time. It sits right along Highway 16.

The rodeo had to cap the number of tickets to 4,500 per night, which is less than they have had in past years, due to limited space.

“The amount of parking we have is a little bit less this year, but we are just having more parking patrol to make sure people are parking efficiently,” Matt Woodington, director of Eagle Rodeo said.

This is the rodeo’s 24th year, and it has fun for the whole family, Woodington said.

The rodeo is urging people to carpool to the event. If you do carpool, you will receive a free beer token when you arrive.

Eagle Police Chef Travis Ruby said they are enforcing safety precautions and making sure everyone stays safe, especially if they are trying to park alongside the highway.

As our media partners, the Idaho Press, reported, the Eagle Rodeo consists of all the main Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) events. An afterparty featuring DJ music, dancing, food and drinks will occur after the main rodeo events on Friday and Saturday night until 12:30 a.m.
