EMMETT -- Idaho State Police are investigating a crash on Highway 16 that killed an Emmett man and injured an Emmett woman Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of the highway and Old Freezeout Road, about a mile south of Emmett.
ISP said Lonnie Sellars, 59, was northbound in a Subaru station wagon, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven by Katelyn Womack, 21.
Womack's pickup went off the right shoulder of the southbound lane and came to rest on its top. Sellars' vehicle came to rest in the middle of the road.
Womack was taken by ground ambulance to Valor Health in Emmett.
Sellars died at the scene.
Both were wearing their seat belts, police said.
The crash blocked the highway for about two and a half hours, but all lanes were back open as of around 3:05 p.m.
