CALDWELL, Idaho — Getting fresh, local food just got easier in Caldwell with opening of the Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market.
The market opened at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Indian Creek Plaza.
Destination Caldwell developed the market in hopes of spurring economic development in the region.
"Fruits, vegetables, and even award-winning wines do not have to travel very far to make it on my family's table and we want to share that unique experience with more people," said Keri Smith-Sigman, CEO of Destination Caldwell. "The new market will make it easier for consumers to get the fresh, local food they are craving and give our farmers another way to support their families."
The Farm to Fork Farmers' Market will take place every Tuesday from now until September 17 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Organizers say the event will go on rain or shine.
