BOISE, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a car crash that happened at roughly 1:30 p.m. on Monday on State Highway 55 near milepost 126.7 in Valley County.
The accident happened while a 52-year-old woman from Donnelly was driving northbound on the highway in a 2018 Audi Q5. Another driver, a 74-year-old man from Cascade, was driving southbound in a 2012 Ford F250.
The Audi then crossed the center line, hitting the Ford. The driver of the Ford was taken to a local hospital for their injuries, and the driver of the Audi died at the scene.
Both drivers had seatbelts on. Lanes of traffic were blocked for roughly three and a half hours.
The accident remains under investigation by ISP.
