DONNELLY, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a two-vehicle collision that left one man dead.
ISP states that on Sept. 10, at roughly 1 p.m., a 30-year-old man was driving southbound on State Highway 55 in a white Chevrolet Venture. The Chevrolet allegedly crossed into the northbound lane of traffic, crashing into a Peterbilt semi-truck pulling a gray trailer.
The Chevrolet overturned, and stopped on the west side of the highway, ISP said. The semi-truck stopped in the east shoulder.
The 30-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, from Cascade, died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
SH55 was closed for roughly four and a half hours, and Idaho Transportation Department offered traffic control.
Valley County Sheriff's Office and Donnelly Fire and EMS assisted with the accident.
