A man is dead after a fight escalated into a deadly stabbing in Boise early Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., the Boise Police Department (BPD) responded to reports of an incident near Cole and Ustick Road.
While Boise Police officers were arriving at the scene, they noticed a man running in the opposite direction of the incident. As officers approached this man, he began to run south towards the reported incident.
Police said officers made contact with the man, Eliseo Torres, 36, learning he was involved in a physical altercation outside of a business on the 7300 block of W. Ustick Road.

Police said evidence indicates that Torres stabbed the victim, who later died at the hospital.
Torres was transported to the hospital for injuries he sustained during the fight. Police said Torres was later booked into Ada County Jail on several charges, including some previous warrants from an unrelated incident.
