BOISE, Idaho — The Southblack Fire, which broke out close to Kuna, nearly half a mile south of Blacks Creek Reservoir, on Thursday afternoon, is contained.
A spokesperson from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) told KTVB the fire was contained at 6 p.m. and had burned roughly 240 acres.
The fire started around 2 p.m., and officials closed Kuna Mora Road from Backs Creek to the Black's Creek Public Shooting Range as a precaution. The roads are open.
BLM is asking the public to be wary as crews will remain on scene overnight.
Officials said the fire is expected to be controlled on Friday at 8 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
