NAMPA -- The Nampa Fire Department responded to a small fire at a mobile home Sunday.
It happened around noon at a home in the Evergreen Mobile Home Park on Caldwell Boulevard.
The family first noticed a light haze of smoke in the home. One of them went outsideand noticed even more smoke and a small fire coming from underneath the mobile home.
The family was very fortunate they were home, saidBattalion Chief Todd Banta with the Nampa Fire Department. These things do go up quick.Their quick action to dial 911 and getting us here in a hurry saved their residence.
Bantasaid crews put out the fire in twoor three minutes.
The cause is still under investigation, although it could have been related to problems with a dryer vent.
