BOISE, Idaho — A fire at the Veterans Memorial Park in Boise burned 5 acres near the playground. According to the Boise Fire Department (BFD), the fire started July 6 in the afternoon. The fire is out and no structures were damaged but the department is asking people to avoid the area.
BFD told KTVB that crews are still on scene making sure fires do not reignite, and mopping up hot spots.
