BOISE, Idaho — Fire danger at two parks in Canyon County has been changed to "extreme" and fires will be prohibited at the locations, Canyon County Parks, Culture and Natural Resource Department Director Nichole Schwend announced Wednesday morning.
Due to the excessive heat, Celebration Park and Martin Landing have been considered dangerous for fire use.
Fires outside designated fire pits, including portable fire pits, will be prohibited at both sites, a news release said. Additionally, no pallet fires, rock ring fires, or charcoal grills will be allowed.
Propane camp stoves however will be allowed.
Visitors are asked to follow the burn ban rules, and pay mind to the dangerous fire conditions in Celebration Park and Martin Landing.
