IDAHO FALLS -- The former principal of an eastern Idaho charter school has been sentenced to two days in jail.

Terry Rothamer resigned from the White Pine Charter School after he was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of burglarizing a restaurant in Ammon. The felony burglary charge was later amended down to two misdemeanor counts of unlawful entry and disturbing the peace.

The Post Register reports that on Thursday, Magistrate Judge Michael Kennedy sentenced Rothamer to six months in jail for each count, but said Rothamer would only have to serve two days along with a year of probation.
