NAMPA, Idaho — There are many ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in Canyon. Starting Wednesday, an array of events begin. With community filled events, traffic is bound to happen.
The God and Country rally kicks off Wednesday at the Idaho Ford Center at 4 p.m.
The Nampa Police Department announced a traffic alert for Nampa for the annual firework show.
Here are some traffic and safety tips regarding the Ford Idaho Center Arena firework show:
Traffic congestion may occur surrounding the Ford Idaho Center
Expect delays and plan efficiently
Don’t call 911 unless you have an emergency
Follow direction guides
Avoid the Idaho Center Boulevard if you have no interest in the firework show.
Thursday, Downtown Caldwell kicks off Fourth of July festivities at 9 a.m. starting with a parade to celebrate.
The Caldwell Police Department announced road closures for Thursday before and after the parade.
The following roads with be closed:
• Harrison Street between S. 6th Avenue & Grant Street
• 22nd Avenue between Cleveland Boulevard & Stock Trail Road
• Stock Trail Road between S. 22nd Avenue & Linden Street
• Cleveland Boulevard between S. 22nd Avenue & Kimball Avenue
• Kimball Avenue between Cleveland Boulevard & Paynter Avenue
