Free health screenings at Central District Health: No insurance required

Anyone looking to get a free health screening can get one this week in English or Spanish.

BOISE, Idaho — Central District Health will host free health screenings this Friday, June 28th, from 9-11 a.m. at their Boise location, located on Emerald, near Five Mile in Boise.

People can be screened in English or Spanish for cholesterol, blood pressure, triglycerides, hemoglobin, A1c, glucose, weight and height.

“Having these resources available to get your results is important because it’s your health and your well-being that you need to maintain. So, if you are unable to see a provider, you can at least be referred to one based on our results that we can obtain immediately, right after you have been checked,” said Alexander Dominguez, health educator at Central District Health.

A phone number and address are preferred upon visit, although no health insurance or documentation is required.

If people can’t make it this week, the screenings occur the last Friday of every month.

For more resources, services and preventive measures, people can go to cdh.idaho.gov.
