BOISE, Idaho — From Henry Winkler to Michael Buble and Drew Barrymore, Emmy Eaton has interviewed some of the biggest celebrities. The 10-year-old from Eastern Idaho has an online segment called ‘7 Questions with Emmy.’
She’s built quite the reputation as a young journalist interviewing some of the biggest names in music, television, sports and film.
“It all started when I was seven years old. And that's why it's called seven questions with me because I was seven years old. and I asked seven questions,” Eaton said.
She told KTVB, it started when she first interviewed her dad, East Idaho News' Nate Eaton.
“Then my dad was working with Keith Morrison from Dateline on a story. And Keith was like, sure, all in or I’ll do an interview with her and after that it blew up Drew Barrymore like contacted us, Lester Holt and all sorts of cool people,” Eaton said.
Since then, she's interviewed Michael Buble, Henry Winkler, Matthew McConaughey and Hoda Kotb, just to name a few. Eaton is also a contributor to the Drew Barrymore Show.
“It's so fun,” Eaton said. “Drew is like the most genuine nice person ever; I love her so much.”
She still has a list of people who she has yet to interview though.
“Zach Efron,” Eaton said. “I wanted to interview him since the very, very start, he still hasn't wrote back, but hopefully keeping my fingers crossed.”
She adds that it's part of her wildest dreams to interview Taylor Swift.
“She actually sent me a package a couple years back because she didn't couldn't do an interview with me, I'm still hoping I can interview her,” Eaton said.
Next week, Eaton is scheduled to interview Dr. Phil.
