Memorial Day Ceremony
The City of Nampa will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor the men and women who were in the service for our country and many who have made the supreme sacrifice of giving their lives so that we might live in freedom. Come join us as we walk the pathways of Nampa. Walking is a free, easy way to increase your daily activity. This walking group will give you an opportunity to enjoy the social support of other in a non-threatening atmosphere. Come and take pleasure in the beauty of nature and the outdoors while you exercise. All summer long starting May 30.

Summer Splashtacular
Come kick off the 2017 Summer swim season with us at Lakeview Waterpark or Lincoln Pool. Enjoy free entry all afternoon with water safety educational booths and fun safe swimming activities. Look forward to life jacket safety, “reach or throw don’t go”, sun safety, and much more. Complete all safety stations and be entered in to win an outdoor pool punch pass, a free session of swim lessons or various other prizes.

Traveling Playground
Come play with the traveling playground! Nampa Recreation Department is bringing fun to your community park all summer long. Enjoy free, organized activities such as soccer, football, basketball, jump rope activities, volleyball, tag games and much more. The Traveling Playground operates in conjunction with the Oasis summer feeding program, so come out to the park, have lunch & PLAY!

Fitness in the Park
Join Nampa Recreation for free boot camp classes at Lakeview Park all summer long. Our boot camp classes will motivate you by combining cardio drills, plyometrics, and body weight strength training. Meet near the amphitheater at Lakeview Park and get ready for a great workout in the great outdoors. Minimum age is 12 years old.

Silver Screen on the Green
Nampa Parks & Recreation is offering free movies in the park throughout the summer! Come out to the park and enjoy the silver screen on a large inflatable movie screen. Grab a blanket, lawn chair, family and friends and head to Optimist Park in Nampa for a summer of fun. Each movie night features concessions, activities, and fun for the whole family! Come out at 8:30 p.m. for fun activities, movies begin at dusk.

31st Annual Nampa Festival of the Arts
This free 2-day community event is held in beautiful Lakeview Park. With over 190 artisan booths, you will be sure to find a treasure, whether it is jewelry, painting, sculpture, whimsical yard art and more. Discover exceptional talent in our juried art show. Live entertainment, food concessions, and free activities for children, including a kid’s art booth will keep the whole family entertained.
