BOISE, Idaho — Anthony Perazzo, 52, was sentenced Tuesday for stabbing a man at a Boise business in August 2023, according to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office (ACPO).
Ada County District Judge Jonathan Medema sentenced Perazzo to up to 30 years in prison. He must serve 15 years before he is eligible for parole.
In August 2023, Boise police responded to the stabbing on the 600 block of South Vista Avenue on the Boise bench just before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a victim, a customer of the business, with life-threatening stab wounds and rushed him to a hospital. Meanwhile, investigators were able to identify Perazzo as the suspect.
According to ACPO, Perazzo was working as a bouncer at the business when he instigated a fight with the customer and stabbed him "multiple times in the abdomen before fleeing." the prosecutor's office stated the entire attack was caught on video surveillance.
Police said he was found shortly after the incident occurred and was booked into Ada County Jail for aggravated battery.
Perazzo was found guilty by a jury of aggravated battery with an enhancement for using a deadly weapon while committing the crime.
Boise never revealed the identity of the victim but said he did survive the stabbing.
"We appreciate the jurors' time and attention in this case, the Boise Police Department's work on this investigation, and the judge's sentencing decision, which will ensure the community is made safer," said Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts.
