BOISE, Idaho — Another nickel less, gas prices in Boise go down for the second week in a row. According to GasBuddy's survey of 216 stations in Boise, the average price per gallon for unleaded gasoline is $3.73. That is roughly 23 cents per gallon less than one month ago and 52 cents less than this time last year.
The cheapest reported price in Boise was $3.55 per gallon on Sunday, Nov. 12, while the most expensive gas station charged $4.09 per gallon, a 54-cent difference.
The national average cost of unleaded gas reflected a similar pattern, bringing the national average to $3.33 per gallon. Diesel gasoline has dropped a nickel as well. The average price per gallon for diesel fuel calculated to be $4.34 per gallon, as of Monday.
"Gasoline demand has struggled in recent weeks, falling not only due to the seasonal nature, as Americans drive less as the weather gets colder, but it appears there may be some economic headwinds entering the equation as well," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
