BOISE, Idaho — Boise Parks and Recreation has announced there is a break in a geothermal line near Warm Springs Avenue on Sunday. There are crews working on the problem but the area is seeing some flooded areas.
A part of Eagle Rock Park is flooded and parts of Chief Eagle Eye Reserve are also being impacted. Boise Parks and Recreation has signs posted. Some paths are closed and they are asking people to stay away from the flooded areas.
As of Sept. 9, there is still pooling water at Eagle Rock Park and in Chief Eagle Eye Reserve, however the water is a cooler temperature.
Boise Parks and Recreation officials state that the break happened due to construction in the Boise Warm Springs Water District area. Park maintenance and trail teams are in the area monitoring the situation, in case there is additional flooding.
Pay attention to signage in the area, alerting users of the standing water.
