Giddy up: Last day of the Western Idaho Fair

A the Western Idaho Fair wraps up, KTVB has highlights and attendance numbers.

BOISE, Idaho — Calling all fair lovers, by hook or crook, they may want to hoof it down to the last day of the Western Idaho Fair. 

It's open until 10:00 p.m. and there are still plenty of things to check out, but the last tickets are sold at 7 p.m. People can buy tickets online here.

Last Day Event Schedule:

Butler Carnival: Experience the thrills one last time, including the King XXL, the ultimate spinning, flipping ride that’s sure to get your adrenaline pumping. There’s something for everyone at the Butler Carnival!

Food Booths: Indulge in your favorite fair treats before they’re gone! Don’t miss your last chance to grab a Pronto Pup, savor a Colossal Onion, or enjoy some delicious Fry Bread. It’s your final opportunity to taste the best of the fair!

Entertainment & Attractions

Pig Races: Cheer on your favorite pig in this hilarious and crowd-pleasing race to the finish line.

Petting Zoo & Animal Exhibits: Perfect for families, visit the petting zoo and see the prize-winning livestock shows that make the fair so special.

Sheep Dog Trials: Take in the Sheep Dog Trials in Ladybird Park.

This year the Western Idaho Fair gave KTVB the following information about the number of people/vendors/exhibitors at the 2024 fair:

14,400 Exhibits from 2,521 exhibitors.

Jr. Market Livestock Sale raised over $600,000 for the 4-H and FFA youth selling their animals.

National Murray Grey Cattle Show, the first time for the show to be in Idaho.

Broke the all-time, single day Butler Carnival record yesterday, Saturday, August 25, 2024.
