MERIDIAN, Idaho — The "world's most wanted wiener," has come to Idaho. Wienerschnitzel has opened the first of three new locations in the Treasure Valley. This is the first time in 40 years these dogs have been sold in the Gem State.
"We are thrilled to bring Wienerschnitzel to Meridian and the greater Boise area," said Paul Del Bufalo, owner of PRD Food Group, LLC. "This opening has been highly anticipated by the local community for quite some time, and our team is committed to delivering the same quality and passion for delicious American food that Wienerschnitzel is known for to Boise and beyond. We can't wait to become an integral part of this community as we look toward opening our second and third locations in the coming years."
According to a news release, the franchise opened on Friday, Mar. 22 on 3110 W. Quintale Drive in Meridian. The other locations are still in development. People can learn more about the planned openings here.
"Our growth throughout the Pacific Northwest has been a key priority, strategically identifying brand-ambassador type franchise partners to open markets like Spokane, WA, southern Oregon and now Boise," said Ted Milburn, US Director of Franchise Development. "We know Boise has been incredibly eager to capture our world-famous chili dogs, and we're excited to finally be able to offer that not only for the first location in Meridian, but for the following two restaurants in development. The vast number of inquiries requesting to bring the brand into the market has been staggering. Boise is ready."
