BOISE, Idaho — A house fire on W Sunrise Rim Rd. in Boise has left three families displaced. No people were injured but one dog died in the fire. The fire happened on Monday, May 13 around 5:30 p.m.
According to Boise Fire Department (BFD) the fire was extinguished in seven minutes but the 12 people that lived there are without a home.
"Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke and an active fire that had started in the basement and extended into the attic. Firefighters coordinated fire attack on the exterior of the basement and the ground level floor, and quickly knocked down the fire," said Boise Fire Public Information Officer, Lynsey Amundson.

The Burnout Fund was established October 7, 1964 by Boise Firefighters Local Union members during Fire Prevention Week. The Burnout Fund provides short term assistance to families whose homes are destroyed by fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
