BOISE, Idaho — From now until Labor Day, you have a chance to catch a glimpse of rare Costa Rican butterflies at Zoo Boise.
Hundreds can be seen fluttering around at the Butterflies in Bloom exhibit, which started on Saturday.
The butterflies were shipped from Costa Rica as pupa, then they blossom in Boise and are released into the exhibit.
"Its a really cool, fun walk-through exhibit that visitors can come and experience some really cool Costa Rican butterflies," Melissa Wade, the assistant curator at Zoo Boise, said. "Every time our visitors come down tot he zoo you guys are helping to support conservation worldwide but also locally as well."
Part of zoo admission fees goes towards butterfly conservation.
