PENDLETON, Ore. — Interstate 84 is back open in both directions in between Ontario and Pendleton, Oregon after being closed for several hours because of dense fog and "extreme winter conditions."
The shutdown area of interstate 84 stretched from Exit 216, about seven miles east of Pendleton, to Exit 265 in LaGrande.
Drivers should still expect winter conditions on all alternate routes, and use extreme caution on the roads.
