ICCU updates eBranch agreement following public feedback

Brenda Worell, CEO of ICCU, released a message to members stating the company has clarified the language regarding its new terms and conditions.

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU) made changes to its eBranch Agreement after a former member pointed out details in recent terms and conditions she disagreed with.

Brenda Worrell, CEO of ICCU, sent a message to members on Wednesday, July 10, stating the company's terms in the agreement "incorrectly identified some transactions as prohibited."

"As has always been the case, ICCU does not regulate member transactions. Members may use eBranch services at their discretion, so long as all transactions are lawful," Worrell said in the letter.

It goes on to clarify the two items it changed in its terms and conditions.

  1. First, ICCU members can use their account(s), including mobile banking, to purchase legal goods and services, including firearms, ammunition, and cryptocurrency, as long as these purchases adhere to federal and state laws and regulations.
  2. In addition, while ICCU’s eBranch services can be used to make tax and court-ordered payments, including child support, we do not recommend using them for these activities. Instead, we advise that members leverage government and state payment portals to ensure timely delivery.
