BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Central Credit Union rolled out a clear bag policy on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The new policy comes nearly a month after the start of the season.

Idaho Central said, "This new policy will allow for quicker security screenings, reducing wait times and making your game day experience more enjoyable."

The new policy specifies that clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed the size of 12 inches long by 12 inches wide by 6 inches tall will be permitted.  Small clutch purses will also be allowed, but they can't be larger than 4.5 inches long by 6.5 inches wide. Idaho Central says that exceptions to the rule will be made for diaper bags and medical supplies, but they will be checked by security.

The new policy is also similar with policies in place at other venues in the area. For example, the policy is almost identical to the one at the Broncos' home turf. Albertson's Stadium's policy on clear bags reads: "Fans are permitted to bring one clear plastic or vinyl bag, package or container that does not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches; a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag; or a purse, bag or clutch no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches." The Ford Idaho Center limits bags to a similar size but does not require the bags to be clear.
