IDAHO CITY -- It's one of Idaho's most unique stores, full of hundreds of antiques, collectibles and gifts. Located just an hour from Boise, the famous Sluice Box is up for sale.
Originally opened in the 1970s the Sluice Box sits on four city lots on downtown Idaho City's Main Street. Listings say the sale includes everything inside which includes, gas pumps, glassware, dolls, signage, old cars, and far too much more to name.
The two story building was built by Larry Carter and his wife, Ruthie over four decades. According to the Sluice Box website, Larry came up with the idea for the store while living in Nampa with their two daughters. That's when the family decided to pack up and move to Idaho City.
