IDAHO FALLS -- The contractor for the Idaho Cleanup Project has received an award for doing its work on schedule and under budget at the Idaho National Laboratory in eastern Idaho.

The Post Register reports in a story on Sunday that CH2M-WG Idaho LLC, also known as CWI, received a Department of Energy Secretary's Excellence and Achievement Award.

CWI spent about $796 million on the project, coming in about $440 million under budget. The work was part of the company's initial contract in 2005 completed in 2012.

Work included decontaminating and decommissioning three nuclear reactors.

Those reactors were the Engineering Test Reactor, Power Burst Reactor and Materials Test Reactor.
