MERIDIAN, Idaho — Starting on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, online sales for bowls for The Idaho Foodbank's Empty Bowls fundraiser begins.
Hand-painted or handmade artisan bowls are available to purchase as part of this annual event, with proceeds benefitting The Idaho Foodbank. Bowl prices begin at $15 and each bowl includes a $5 Albertsons gift card and soup recipe, said the news release.
The sale begins at 4pm on Thursday, Nov. 23, and you can visit this site to view bowls and make purchases.
Bowls must be picked up during the designated pick up times that begin on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Idaho Foodbank warehouse in Meridian, the release said.
In the 2022 fiscal year, The Idaho Foodbank served roughly 213,000 people per month, said the news release. With $5, the Foodbank can provide food for up to 15 meals.
