The Boise State men’s basketball team has gotten even deeper in the frontcourt.
The Broncos announced the addition of Lehigh transfer Dominic Parolin, a 6-foot, 9-inch forward with one season of eligibility left, on Thursday.
Parolin started 19 of the 28 games he played for the Mountain Hawks this past season, averaging 11.5 points per game on 45.5% shooting. He was also 32.9% from beyond the 3-point line and averaged 6.3 rebounds per game. He scored a career-high 33 points in a game against Lafayette this season.
He adds depth under the basket for the Broncos, who return starters O’Mar Stanley and Tyson Degenhart and also added 7-foot Arizona transfer Dylan Anderson at center. By playing either Stanley or Degenhart at the wing, Boise State could potentially build a rotation where they have three players who are 6-8 or taller on the court at one time next season.
Parolin, a British Columbia native, spent four seasons at Lehigh, and has an extra year of eligibility remaining thanks to his COVID year. Parolin shot above 45% in all four seasons with the Mountain Hawks, including a 56.8% shooting percentage (95 for 168) as a junior in 2022-23.
This past season, Parolin added a 3-point presence to his game. After shooting just 3 for 16 from 3-point range over his first three seasons with Lehigh, Parolin was 26 for 79 this past season. He also had a career-high 46 assists.
