An Idaho man has been sentenced to prison for stabbing another man to death last July.
Dallas Brower, 28, was ordered to serve a life sentence for killing 24-year-old Justin Friesner, according to online court records. The sentence, handed down Sept. 26, stipulates that Brower will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years. Brower pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in May.
Additionally, Brower will serve a five-year sentence for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after pleading guilty. That sentence will run concurrently with Brower's murder sentence.
Police said Brower, of Twin Falls, and two other males — one of whom was Friesner — were parked in a car near the Boise Airport "and became involved in an altercation" before 7:30 a.m. on July 27, 2023. The other man in the car fled the vehicle to locate help, police said, and responding officers found Friesner dead with multiple stab wounds and Brower walking down a nearby road. Investigators believe Brower was armed with a knife during the altercation.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office determined that the cause of death for Friesner, of Parma, was "sharp force injuries of the neck and chest."
