The holiday classic movie ‘A Christmas Story’ has been charming families for over four decades. When the movie was first released in the early 80’s, it started with a little rumble of excitement that snowballed over forty years into a mammoth cult following and even has an entire holiday marathon dedicated to it during the Christmas season.
It’s easy to see how the story of a young boy named Ralphie (actor Peter Billingsley) and his family's pursuit of a successful Christmas still resonates with viewers of today, with a representation that is pretty true to most families, highs and lows and all.
Now Idahoans will have the chance to celebrate the big four-O milestone for this film with a special screening at The Egyptian Theatre in downtown, Boise on December 14th, complete with a Q & A with Ralphie himself…Peter Billingsley.
