The Boise Open Studios Collective Organization has partnered with the Idaho Song Writers Association to create a unique art exhibit at Jacks Urban Meeting Place the first Thursday of December.
The partnership is focused around the concept of art as song and song as art. Just as the title describes, artists with BOSCO have taken songs written by musicians from the Idaho Song Writers Association and used them as inspiration to create new art. Likewise, Idaho song writers have taken artists works from BOSCO and used them as inspiration to write music.
It’s a unique approach to the concept that art is subjective and meant for individual interpretation. Everyone sees the same piece of art or song differently and it means different things to different people.
You can experience these one of a kind displays and performance in person at JUMP on December 7th. To get a taste of what you can expect, watch the conversation with Idaho Today’s Mellisa Paul and a representative of BOSCO along with two song writers from the ISA.
