KTVB is adding to the previous post that Paramount+ is overachieving in the holiday films and specials department. They have nothing on our home team, NBC, for the 60th anniversary of the classic Burl Ives narrated Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer , which will have two special showings on NBC in early December. Make sure to record this wonderful 1960s classic. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has aired every year since its release in 1964, making it the longest-running holiday special in television history.
You can watch this Christmas classic on a new NBC date and time: 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024. Rudolph is moving to NBC after previously airing on CBS every year since 1972—this is big for NBC! Plus, NBC will have a special 75-minute edition to celebrate the holiday staple's 60th anniversary. NBC will also air an encore of Rudolph on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024. Rudolph premiered on NBC back in 1964, where it ran through 1971 before moving to CBS.
And it is hard to beat Buddy the Elf (Will Ferrell) as he navigates New York City and reconnects with the late James Caan as his long-lost father. And who can pass up the "wonderful" tale of old George Bailey, who realizes his life profoundly impacted so many in It's A Wonderful Life? All the emotional feelings, from humor to heart, make us want to believe in holiday miracles, reminding us exactly what happens every time a bell rings.
Whichever one of these Christmas movies you decide to enjoy, don't miss out, or we will have to refer to you as a cotton-headed ninnymuggins.
