University of Idaho Is Creating Waves In Echohydraulic Research

University of Idaho’s Center for Ecohydraulics Research at their campus in downtown Boise is creating waves

Sponsored by the University of Idaho.

University of Idaho’s Center for Ecohydraulics Research at their campus in downtown Boise is creating waves when it comes to expanding scientist understanding of water management. Using a 60 foot flume in the basement of the Idaho Water Center, scientists are studying sediment transport in headwater streams, broadening their understanding of the response of endangered species in reservoir operation, taking a closer look at the effects of snowpack on our rivers and recreational wet management, plus much more.

These are all key points that impact, not only Idaho’s way of life, but the worlds. Idaho Today’s Mellisa Paul paid a visit to the astonishing center to visit with some of the lead scientist involved in this groundbreaking research.
