According to the World Health Organization, e-waste (electronic waste) is the fastest-growing solid waste stream in the world -- and a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, only about 20% of the reusable metals in this e-waste is recycled, leaving about $47 billion worth of valuable materials sitting in landfills.
