IDAHO, USA — The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), said it is aiding the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) in clearing and repairing the collapse on the Teton Pass road.
Part of the road on Teton Pass, that links Idaho to Wyoming, "catastrophically failed," said WYDOT. Part of the road collapsed at milepost 12.8. The road was already closed due to a previous mudslide and no one was injured.
"ITD crews and equipment are assisting WYDOT however we can with the failure of Wyoming SH-22 and closure of Teton Pass. Drivers and tourists must detour 30-75 minutes to access Jackson Hole through US-89 toward Hoback Junction," ITD stated.
