Highway 95 construction resumes in Owyhee County

The Idaho Transportation Department on Monday resumed repaving on U.S. Highway 95 between the Port of Entry and State Highway 55.

BOISE, Idaho — As temperatures begin to rise across the Gem State, road construction also rises. On Monday, the Idaho Transportation Department resumed repaving on U.S. Highway 95 in Owyhee County.

According to ITD, the repaving project is between the Port of Entry and Highway 95's junction with State Highway 55, located west of Marsing. Construction is expected to be completed by the summer and aims to improve the roadway and extend its life.

The Idaho Transportation Department worked on repaving US-95 in July 2023 between the Oregon state line and the Port of Entry, and installed new curbing, guardrails and updated road signs.
