CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — An 18-year-old woman was killed and a 31-year-old man was hospitalized following a crash Friday morning in Canyon County, Idaho State Police reported.
Police said the woman from Notus crossed over the center line of U.S. Highway 95 while traveling south in a Honda Civic just before 6:40 a.m. Friday. The Honda collided with a northbound Peterbilt truck on the highway, driven by a man from Caldwell.
The woman died at the scene of the crash. The Caldwell man was taken to an area hospital by ground ambulance, according to ISP's news release.
Friday's crash on Highway 95 occurred at Garnet Road, north of Homedale. Traffic was blocked for roughly three hours on the highway following the collision as first responders cleared the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
