Family: Pastor Remington suffered mini stroke, has clot in lungs

Pastor Tim Remington

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Injured Idaho pastor Tim Remington is back at Kootenai Health dealing with a “big” blood clot in his lungs, his family said on Tuesday.

Remington was shot multiple times on March 6 while walking to his car after service at the Altar Church.

The suspected shooter, Kyle Odom, was arrested in Washington, D.C. shortly after, where he remains in custody.

Family members told KREM 2 News that Remington is on blood-thinners for the clot and has been back at Kootenai Health for almost a week but could go home by Tuesday. Remington was initially able to return home on March 25.

Fellow pastor John Padula said Remington also suffered a mini-stroke but will recover.

Remington suffered many injuries, including a ripped colon and leg and shoulder wounds, from the shooting.

During Easter, Pastor Remington surprised members of his church with a recorded message. In the video he told church members he was okay and thanked them for their support.
