BOISE - Almost two years after toddler DeOrr Kunz Jr. disappeared while on a camping trip with his family, investigators plan to return to the campsite in search of new evidence.
Lemhi County Sheriff Steve Penner told KTVB on Thursday that deputies will return to the campground outside of Leadore once the weather improves.
Penner said the search was not prompted by a specific tip or new evidence.
"That's just something you keep doing," he said of the continuing search of the area.
Meanwhile, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is working to create an age-progression sketch of DeOrr, who was two years old when he disappeared in July 2015. The sketch is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, and will show what DeOrr might look like today as a 4-year-old.
DeOrr vanished during a camping trip with his parents, great-grandfather and a family friend. His parents have been named as suspects in his disappearance, but no charges have been filed.
